OATI Sustains Compliance to WEQ-012 PKI Business Practice Standards
- March 7, 2019
OATI is pleased to announce the successful completion of the WEQ-012 Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Business Practice Standards compliance audit for the seventh consecutive year, classifying OATI webCARES™ as an Authorized Certification Authority (ACA) qualified to provide PKI services.
The WEQ-012 Business Practice Standards consist of the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) Accreditation Requirements for Authorized Certification Authorities (ACA) Business Practice Standards and the NAESB Wholesale Electric Quadrant (WEQ) PKI for ACA Standards. Also known as the “NAESB cybersecurity standards,” these specifications work to promote the forging of a trusted network of certificate authorities and the interoperability of PKI products.
“OATI maintains a stringent dedication to cybersecurity,” said OATI President and CEO Dr. Sasan Mokhtari. “By undergoing these annual third-party audits, we ensure OATI webCARES™ continues to offer our customers reliability and security in the wholesale electric market.”
