OATI Successfully Rolls Out webSmartOASIS System

Open Access Technology International, Inc. (OATI) announces the successful implementation of its latest webSmartOASIS system and the retirement of webOASIS.

Minneapolis, MN: September 22, 2016 – OATI is pleased to announce the successful transition from webOASIS to webSmartOASIS in the production environment. This comes after the 15-year deployment of OATI’s innovative webOASIS system, the leading integrated automation system for Transmission Providers.

Effective September 14, 2016, webSmartOASIS replaced the existing webOASIS product as the sole OASIS system in the production environment. Over the last two years, OATI has worked on development, testing, and training of webSmartOASIS, an enhanced version of their webOASIS solution, which was first deployed in September 2001. The two systems ran in parallel production operations in the months leading up to the official retirement of webOASIS.

OATI took the initiative to facilitate and support new technologies and to meet customer expectations for technology changes while not compromising the integral parts of the webOASIS application. The new webSmartOASIS system integrates new features like enhanced push notification and client filtering capabilities, easier homepage navigation, and improved functionality. In the last several months, OATI has provided training, trials, and other opportunities to all users to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.

“OATI staff members have worked rigorously to prepare for the retirement of webOASIS and provide a smooth transition to webSmartOASIS for all users,” said Sasan Mokhtari, President and CEO of OATI. “We are eager to see how this new product improves our customers’ day-to-day business.”
